ORGANIZATION STANDARD (COMPANY STANDARD)

What kind of document is it?

The organization standard (company standard) is a document of standardization approved and applied by the organization to improve a production and ensure the quality of a product and services. SO can be developed on the processes applied in the organization, a product and services; on products created and delivered by the organization to domestic and foreign markets; for services which are carried out by this organization as a side activity, according to the signed contracts. The document is developed according to requirements of GOST P 1.4-2004 "Standardization in the Russian Federation. Standards of the organizations. General regulations".

What organizations give it out?

The organization standards are developed by the organizations independently. The organization standards on a product can be registered in a voluntary order in the regional centers of standardization and metrology of Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) in the organization’s location.

The Federal state unitary enterprise "Russian Scientific and Technological Center of Information on Standardization, Metrology and Assessment of Compliance" (Federal State Unitary Enterprise STANDARTINFORM) and Federal budgetary Institution "The State Regional Center of Standardization, Metrology and Tests in Moscow" (FBU "Rostest Moscow") are engaged in registration of the organization standards in the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region.

In what cases do you need it?

The organization standards need to be developed for ensuring compliance with technical regulations and Russian national standards, international, regional standards (including interstate ones), national standards of other countries and standards of other organizations.
