SAFETY JUSTIFICATION (SJ)
What kind of document is it?
The safety justification (SJ) is a document containing the analysis of risk and also the data from design, operational, technological documentation about the minimum necessary measures of safety, accompanying the machines and (or) the equipment at all stages of life cycle and supplemented with data about the results of risk assessment during the product’s operation after carrying out capital repairs.
Justification of safety of the equipment is developed according to requirements of GOST 33855-2016 "The justification of safety of the equipment.
The recommendations for the preparation".
What organizations give it out?
The safety justification (SJ) is developed by the developer enterprise (designer) or the product’s manufacturer.
In what cases do you need it?
According to technical regulations of the Customs Union of TR CU 010/2011 "On safety of cars and the equipment" and TR CU 032/2013 "On safety of the equipment working under excessive pressure", existence of SJ on the machines and the equipment and providing it on demand in order to verify the state of the machines and the equipment is obligatory.
