PERMISSION OF GUNK OF THE MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION TO IMPORT (EXPORT) OF DRUGS, PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES, AND THEIR PRECURSORS

What kind of document is it?

Permission of GUNK Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (Head department of control of drug trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation) is a permit which is the basis for obtaining the license of Minpromtorg for import to the territory of the Russian Federation or export from the territory of the Russian Federation of drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors and also medicine or mixtures containing drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors.

What organizations give it out?

The licenses of import or export of drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors in Russia are issued by Head department of control of drug trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (GUNK Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation). Earlier such permissions were given by the Federal service of the Russian Federation of control of drug trafficking (FDCS) before its abolition.

In what cases do you need it?

The permission of GUNK Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation needs to be prepared when importing or exporting the drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors specified in the List of the drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors which are subject to control in the Russian Federation (it is approved by the resolution The Government of the Russian Federation of June 30, 1998 No. 681) and also in section 2.12 of the Uniform list of products to which measures of non-tariff regulation in trade with the third countries are applied (it is approved by the Decision of Board of the Eurasian economic commission from 4/21/2015 No. 30).
