NOTIFICATION OF FSB

What kind of document is it?

The notification of FSB (Federal Security Service) is a document, according to which the manufacturer of goods (or his authorized representative) notifies about technical and cryptographic characteristics of the goods which are cryptography (cryptographic) tools and the goods containing cryptography (cryptographic) tools.

What organizations give it out?

The notifications of FSB are registered by the Center of licensing, certification and protection of the state secrets of the Federal Security Service of Russia (TsLSZ FSB of Russia).

In what cases do you need it?

The notification of FSB needs to be registered when importing or exporting goods which are cryptography (cryptographic) tools or the goods containing these tools in their structure. These goods are specified in section 2.19 of the Uniform list of products to which measures of non-tariff regulation in trade with the third countries are applied and which are included in the List of the types of goods which are cryptography (cryptographic) tools or the goods containing these tools in their structure which technical and cryptographic characteristics are subject to notification (The appendix No. 4 to the Regulations of import of cryptography (cryptographic) tools into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union and export from the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union).
