What kind of document is it?

Unlike the certificates of conformity and the declarations of compliance, the voluntary certificate of conformity to fire safety is an optional document confirming compliance of a product with requirements of national (GOST P) or interstate (GOST) standards, specifications, to conditions of contracts and other regulations. This document is prepared on the initiative of the applicant.

What organizations give it out?

The voluntary certificates of conformity to fire safety are given by certification bodies which can be accredited both according to Technical regulations of fire safety, and within the voluntary systems of certification.

In what cases do you need it?

Even though the voluntary certificate of fire safety is an optional document, rather often its existence is an indispensable condition for deliveries of any product to various retail chain stores, for participation in tenders and in some other situations.
