DECLARATION OF COMPLIANCE TO FIRE SAFETY

What kind of document is it?

The declaration of compliance to fire safety is a document confirming compliance of a product with requirements of Technical regulations of fire safety (The Federal law of 7/22/2008 No. 123-FZ) which work for the protection of life, health, property of citizens and legal entities against the fires.

What organizations give it out?

Registration of the declarations of compliance to fire safety is carried out by the accredited certification bodies, which are included in the Register of certification bodies.

In what cases do you need it?

The list of products which are subject to the obligatory confirmation of compliance to fire safety is established by Technical regulations of fire safety (The Federal law of 7/22/2008 No. 123-FZ) and the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 17, 2009 No. 241.

Please note that according to paragraph 7 of Article 24 of the Federal law "On Technical Regulation" No. 184-FZ of December 27, 2002, within 10 years from the moment of the termination of period of validity of the declaration of compliance the applicant has to store evidentiary materials himself, these include test reports.
